Snowfish

A learning design studio built for complex challenges.

Our Mission

To uncover and turn complex expertise into practical learning systems that enable people to perform effectively and with confidence.

Our Vision

A world in which learning and doing are no longer separated, where people can access the insight, guidance and practical support they need as part of the work itself.

Why Snowfish?

We create clarity from complexity

Complex expertise can be difficult to articulate, organise and share. We help you make sense of it, creating clear models, methodologies and practical tools that give people a shared understanding of what good performance looks like.

We become experts in your world

We bring substantial subject-matter expertise of our own and, when a project demands it, invest the time needed to become experts in your world. We ask searching questions, undertake research and test our understanding until we can engage intelligently with the content and contribute meaningfully, not simply repackage what we are given.

We combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery

The person helping you define the strategy remains closely involved in designing and building the solution. This continuity protects the original thinking, reduces the risk of important insights being lost and keeps every element focused on your goals.

We design for application, not just completion

Successful learning is not measured by whether somebody reaches the end of a module. We create experiences, resources and tools that help people develop confidence, make better decisions and apply what they have learned in their real work.

We leave you with something valuable

Our work often creates more than a learning programme. It can give your organisation a clearer definition of successful performance, a shared language, reusable models and tools, and expertise that is easier to maintain, share and scale.

We become a trusted extension of your team

The strongest solutions grow from trusted partnerships. We take time to understand your organisation, listen carefully, offer honest advice and respond flexibly, becoming a dependable extension of your team that is personally invested in both the immediate project and its long-term success.

The Founder

Jason Baker

Award-winning learning strategist, performance consultant, and learning designer and developer, based in Northamptonshire, UK.

We don't begin with content. We begin with performance.

Most organisations already possess the expertise their people need. The challenge is uncovering it, making sense of it and turning it into something others can confidently apply.

Snowfish helps organisations define what successful performance looks like, then works closely with subject-matter experts to reveal the knowledge, decisions and practical insights behind it.

We analyse and organise that expertise, identify what people genuinely need, and turn it into clear frameworks, engaging learning experiences and practical tools that help people apply their learning in the workplace. Sometimes that means improving existing content. Often, it means discovering and creating the underlying method that did not previously exist, and turning it into measurably effective learning experiences.

The result is more than well-designed learning. It is a practical system for transferring expertise from experienced specialists to the people who need to understand and apply it effectively.

Moving beyond the question 'What do we need to tell people?' to 'What do we actually need people to be able to do?'
